What is Supported Living?
Supported living is a customised social care service that aims to empower individuals with disabilities, mental health challenges or unique requirements to live independently as they can. In contrast to care, supported living emphasises offering individualised assistance in community settings or the individual’s own home. The services typically involve help with daily living tasks, managing finances, accessing education or work opportunities and social inclusion initiatives. The main objective is to improve quality of life, foster independence and enable individuals to enjoy lives within their communities.
